    Japan climate

    Tourist regions in Japan, according to their climate, could be divided into 4 different areas, which have different climates. These are Okinawa, Kyushu, Honshu, Hokkaido. The selection of these regions covers the most visited areas according to our surveys, on the other hand, there could be nice places to see also outside of our selected regions.

    The part of Japan with the warmest climate is Okinawa, which sees temperatures of 29 °C (85 °F) to 32 °C (89 °F) during the months of June - September.

    On the other hand, the climate of Hokkaido is coldest with temperatures between -1 °C (31 °F) - 2 °C (35 °F) during the months of December - February.

    The highest sea temperatures in Japan could be found in Okinawa, where the sea temperature in June - October will be around 27 °C (80 °F) - 29 °C (84 °F).

    The least cloudy region in Japan is Honshu with 40 % of sunshine a day during its sunniest months July - September.

    The region with the most sun hours (without clouds) during a day is Honshu, which enjoys 5 hours in July - September.

    Japan has the windiest region and it is Okinawa with an average level of wind 5 during September - November.

    During the night and the morning, the region with the highest temperature is Okinawa, which has night temperatures between 25 - 26 in the period of June - September.

    Regions with a humid climate, which can mean a slightly higher chance of rain are Hokkaido.
